My Story

It's not rare thing to hear someone say they are or have been the victim of trauma or abuse. Many are struggling to find a way to escape the pain, but have gotten lost on the path to healing, if they make it to the path at all. I was once a lost person too. I am not ashamed to say, I was a victim of childhood abuse and a survivor of sexual abuse. I used to think once my abuser left my healing would commence on its own, but it never did. Instead, the effects of my abuse continued to follow me throughout my life. In fact, it controlled my life leading me in and out of bad relationships, unhealthy boundaries, low self-esteem, mental breakdowns, severe depression and even thoughts of suicide. 
 

 I thought I would never be rid of my pain, much less heal from it. Finally, I realized I needed to let God help me tap into the healing I desired. If you allow him to, God can take the mess trauma has made of your life and turn it into your message. That's exactly what he did for me. I have taken both my experiences with trauma and my education to create my Christian life coaching business. The name of my coaching business She Lives is significant because there was a time in my life when my depression was so deep, I did not want to live. But because of my Christian beliefs and knowing He lives and loves me, gave me the strength to face tomorrow. My mess then became my message.
 

Now on the other side of healing, I feel it is my responsibility to help other women along the path. The enemy brings trauma into our lives to destroy us, but it does not have to accomplish it's mission. There is healing on the other side. I know because I am living proof.
